FOLLOW THIS:Why Phoenix Suns are a blueprint for what Pistons want to accomplish
Game notes: Both teams are on an eight-game losing streak. The Pistons are the worst team in the Eastern Conference — and NBA — while the Thunder are second-to-last in the West.
Oklahoma City suffered one of the worst losses in NBA history, 152-79, on the road Thursday vs. the Memphis Grizzlies. OKC was without its best player in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who suffered a concussion Wednesday while pouring in a career-high 39 points vs. the Houston Rockets. He has been upgraded to available and will play vs. the Pistons.
Most recently, the Pistons challenged the red-hot Phoenix Suns, winners of 18 straight at the time, but lost, 114-103. The Pistons are without Hamidou Diallo (face fracture) and Cory Joseph (right knee inflammation). Detroit hosts Washington on Wednesday while Oklahoma City is in Toronto that same night.
