    Final ‘MI Shot To Win’ vaccine sweepstakes winners

    Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is expected to announce the final winners of the Michigan COVID-19 vaccine sweepstakes at 9:30 a.m. Monday.

    The $2 million grand prize winner, the 8 remaining winners of the $50,000 daily drawings and the 9 college scholarships are expected to be revealed.

    Whitmer, Protect Michigan Commission Director Kerry Ebersole Singh and Robin Lott, Michigan Department of Treasury Executive Director for the Office of Postsecondary Financial Planning, are expected to make the announcements. 

    Winners are said to be from every region of the state, including metro Detroit, Greater Lansing, west Michigan and northern Michigan.

    The MI Shot To Win Sweepstakes giveaway included $5 million in total prizes, including 30 daily prizes of $50,000, a $1 million prize and a $2 million prize. For those receiving vaccines ages 12 to 17, there are nine four-year college scholarships.

    LaTonda Anderson of Genesse County won $1 million last month in Michigan’s COVID-19 vaccine lottery.
