    Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers became the 28th player in major league baseball history to hit 500 home runs when he smacked a 1-1 pitch from Blue Jays starter Steven Matz to right field for a tying solo home run with one out in the sixth inning in Toronto on Sunday afternoon at Rogers Centre.
